The original Dashy, and the new one.
The original has been in the Chrome Web Store since 2023 and still works exactly as it did this morning. The new Dashy is a ground-up rebuild on its own listing, arriving October 2026. Nothing you already have goes away, and nothing moves unless you move it.

The complaints people sent us about the original — the paywall, the missing wallpaper upload, the widgets that only looked busy — are where the rebuild starts. That is why it is a new listing and not an update.
The four questions we get
- Which Dashy do I have?
- If you installed Dashy from the Chrome Web Store, you have the original. The new one is not in the store yet, so nobody has it by accident: it arrives in October 2026, and the only way in before that is the form on this page.
- Does the original stop working when the new one arrives?
- No. The new Dashy is a separate listing, not an update, so the original stays installed and keeps working exactly as it does now, with fixes as they are needed. Two listings, side by side.
- Will my setup move over?
- Only if you decide to move it. The plan is an export from the original and a one-click import into the new one, and nothing is removed from the original when you do it. Staying put is a perfectly good answer.
- Should I install the original today?
- Yes, if you want a dashboard in your new tab this afternoon: it is the one that exists, and it is what those 10,000+ people are using. If you would rather start on the rebuilt one, leave your email and you will get a single message in October.
Either way
Take the one that exists, or wait for the new one.
