Dashy Terms Of Service

Dashy replaces your browser new tab page with a customizable productivity dashboard. Dashy includes free local-first features and optional cloud, sync, AI, integration, sharing, and paid subscription features.

By using Dashy, you agree to these terms and the Dashy Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Dashy.

You can use the core dashboard without creating an account. Some features require an account, including cloud sync, shared dashboards, some AI features, billing, and account-level feature limits.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login methods secure. Do not share your account with people who are not authorized to use it.

Do not use Dashy to break the law, violate browser store policies, infringe intellectual property rights, abuse third-party services, interfere with Dashy systems, bypass feature limits, reverse engineer paid or protected services, or generate harmful content through AI features.

Dashy may suspend or limit access if needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, store compliance, payment disputes, or service integrity.

AI features are optional and may use OpenAI through Dashy's server-side relays. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable for your use case. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it.

Do not submit sensitive information to AI features unless you are comfortable with that information being processed by Dashy and OpenAI for the requested feature. AI features may be rate-limited, changed, paused, or disabled to control cost, safety, or reliability.

Dashy can connect to third-party services only when you authorize them. Available OAuth integrations currently offered in distributable builds are Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Todoist, GitHub, Notion, and Linear. Raindrop.io and Asana integrations are implemented but are not offered in distributable builds until their production credentials and configuration are complete and the unchanged packaged extension passes real-provider OAuth testing. Dashy also uses services such as Supabase, OpenAI, Lemon Squeezy, PayPal, Resend, Unsplash, weather providers, and browser vendor APIs for the optional features described in the Dashy Privacy Policy.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Dashy is not responsible for third-party service availability, provider changes, revoked API access, provider outages, or data returned by those services.

Dashy may also let you connect a third-party AI app or agent through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The Dashy authorization screen identifies the requesting app and the read, write, dashboard-scope, and optional custom-widget permissions you approve. An approved app may access or change only the supported Dashy data within that scope, which may include dashboard structure and the current global Notes and To Do stores held in Dashy's separate Visual Brain cloud copy. You are responsible for choosing the app, reviewing its requests and output, and limiting its access to what you intend. Because Notes and To Do are global stores, Dashy withholds them entirely when you restrict a connection to selected dashboards or use any dashboard exclusion.

Custom-widget permission lets an approved app submit source only as a quarantined draft. A draft does not install, activate, or run unless you inspect and approve that exact version in Dashy. Disconnecting an AI app blocks its future Dashy access but does not undo changes already applied, remove data the app previously received, or control copies retained by that third party. Existing changes remain in Dashy until you edit, archive, or delete them through available product controls.

OAuth access is limited to the features and scopes described before you connect. You can disconnect a provider at any time. A successful disconnect asks the provider to revoke the credential when supported, then purges Dashy's local cache, connection metadata, and session credential for that provider.

During account deletion, Dashy makes a best-effort provider revocation request where supported and erases its encrypted vault credentials even if provider revocation fails. You can remove any residual authorization from the provider's connected-app or account settings.

GitHub's classic OAuth repo permission technically grants broader repository access than Dashy uses. Dashy discloses that capability before connection and limits its implementation to reading work metadata plus the notification mark-as-read action you trigger.

Dashy also lets you add a private, read-only ICS calendar feed. Dashy requests browser access only to the feed URL's exact HTTPS origin, keeps the URL and parsed event cache local, and removes them with the exact-origin permission when you remove the feed. Treat a private calendar feed URL like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to read the calendar exposed by it. You are responsible for using a trusted read-only feed and revoking or regenerating an exposed URL with your calendar provider.

Dashy may offer paid subscriptions, lifetime licenses, usage-based limits, or promotional offers. Paid features, limits, prices, and plan names may change.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel an active subscription from Settings -> Billing when available, from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, or by contacting support@dashyapp.com.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period and no partial-period refund is automatically issued.

You can request a refund within 14 days of a first purchase or renewal, or when there is a duplicate charge or material service failure. Refunds are reviewed case by case and processed through Lemon Squeezy or PayPal. Refund timing depends on the payment provider and may take up to 10 days after processing.

Lemon Squeezy acts as a merchant of record for supported purchases and may handle taxes, checkout, invoices, subscription management, refunds, and payment disputes.

The Dashy Privacy Policy explains what data Dashy processes, why it is processed, which processors are used, the Limited Use statement, and how to request account deletion or export.

Settings -> Account -> Data & Account can export your Dashy cloud account data and delete your Dashy cloud account. If the in-product flow fails, account deletion, cloud data deletion, or full cloud data export requests should be sent to support@dashyapp.com from the email address associated with your Dashy account.

We may add, remove, rename, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. We may change supported browsers, AI models, default limits, pricing, integrations, or storage behavior as Dashy evolves.

Dashy is provided without a service uptime commitment unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. We will try to keep the product useful and reliable, but outages, bugs, and data-sync conflicts may happen.

You keep ownership of content you add to Dashy. You grant Dashy the limited rights needed to store, process, display, sync, share, and transmit that content for the features you choose to use.

Dashy, the Dashy brand, product design, software, website, and documentation are owned by Dashy or its licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of Dashy software or branding.
